yellow cardToday’s statement by the Commission is what I would describe as a ‘yellow card’. Dagens uttalande av kommissionen är vad jag skulle vilja kalla ett ”gult kort”.The Commission has not, today, shown Romania and Bulgaria the yellow card, for that would presuppose that they were already on the pitch, but they are not – yet. Kommissionen har i dag inte gett Rumänien och Bulgarien något gult kort; det skulle nämligen förutsätta att de redan befann sig ute på planen, men det gör de inte – än.I shall not therefore repeat those arguments, but simply stress that the Commission should get a yellow card for the way it deals with some of the issues which are of concern to us in Parliament.
