I have always been convinced that, if we want peace, we cannot play at being the bad guys and constantly penalise one of the parties. Dialoguer avec les méchants ne veut pas dire qu'on est pour eux, qu'on les accepte, cela veut dire qu'on veut les persuader qu'ils n'ont pas de perspective. Talking to the bad guys does not mean you support them, or accept them, it means you want to persuade them that they have no future. Ceux qui veulent nous faire croire qu’en Irlande du Nord, il y a les bons d’un côté et les méchants de l’autre ne décrivent pas correctement la situation. Those who would have us believe that in Northern Ireland we have the good guys on one side and the bad guys on the other, do not accurately describe the situation.
